KALEENA COLEMAN
Women's Assistant Basketball Coach

A two-year letterwinner at Clayton State, Kaleena Coleman returns for her third season on the Laker women’s basketball coaching staff, and her first in a full-time capacity. In addition to her coaching duties, she also assists in recruiting, scouting and basketball operations.

In two seasons, Coleman has helped the Lakers to two straight trips to the NCAA Division II National Tournament, advancing to the second round in the South Atlantic Regional in the 2005-06 season and the "Elite Eight" and "Final Four" this past season.

Coleman transferred to Clayton after two seasons at Darton College in 2003. In her two seasons in a Clayton State uniform, Coleman saw action in 56 games with 16 starts during her senior season in 2004-05 at the point guard position. As a senior, she helped steer the second best turnaround that season in NCAA Division II, leading Clayton State to a remarkable 25-7 record and both the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament championships.

In addition, Coleman was also on the first ever Clayton State squad to advance to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.

A native of Edison, Ga., Coleman was a two-time All-Region selection at Calhoun County High School. She was later a two-year letterwinner at Darton, garnering the team’s Most Improved Player honor as a sophomore.

Coleman earned her bachelor's degree in education in May of 2006.
